District Planning for Progress

Pinellas County Schools hosted a series of community meetings across the district to share school-specific data and gather feedback on population and enrollment trends, facility planning and school utilization.

Linda Burris became school principal in 2022. She previously served as Executive Director of Middle School Education (2021), Principal of Largo Middle School (2017 to 2021) and Principal of Clearwater Fundamental Middle School (2013-2017). She gained her assistant principal experience at Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School (2010-2013). Prior to the start of her administrative career, she was a classroom teacher at Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School (2003-2010) and at John Hopkins Middle School (1997-2003).  She also served as a substitute teacher (1996-1997).

Mrs. Burris holds a bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
